Writing is a life skill, it is often the basis upon which others will judge your values, ideas, thoughts, and learning. Your thoughts are only as good as your writing. Without good writing skills, you can’t communicate your message effectively and clearly to the audience. Writing is something that once mastered will be useful in all walks of your life. From a research conducted in 2019 by the National Association of Colleges and Employers, 82% of employers value employees with strong written communication skills.

There are so much more benefits of writing well but I shall stop with rambling as I am sure if you are here, it means you recognize the importance of writing and wish to improve it. Knowing the importance of writing is actually the first step towards improving your writing skills. It will drive you to follow through with the remaining steps below and start becoming a better writer.

Write More.

It sounds cliche but it is repeatedly mentioned for a reason, it just works. Surely you can’t expect to improve your writing skills without practicing the craft itself. Doesn’t matter if you are a bad writer because trust me, if you are starting, you will be and it's okay. Everyone starts somewhere, great writers don’t just become great the moment they are born.
